Desktop Computing, Ubuntu, and general technological frustration
@reflectivedragon This has actually been a habit of mine for a long time. Install the operating system on an SSD, and then use a spinning disk to store my actual home directory stuff.
This time, both my OS and home directory stuff are on SSDs, so nice.
And they're both encrypted, so also nice.
Desktop Computing, Ubuntu, and general technological frustration
Not gonna lie, I'm honestly glad that this is all done now. It's always refreshing to compute with a freshly installed operating system. Everything is nice and snappy.
The key frustration was mostly me trying to use Ubuntu 20.04, which uses much newer linux kernels that - apparently - take a huge shit whenever you've got multiple graphics cards. XD
